Best iPhone to Buy - iPhone 14 series

Apple has announced the 2022 iPhone lineup, which includes four new models: the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Plus, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max are upgraded from the previous year’s 13 models. The Plus model is being launched after a five-year hiatus and is taking the place of the Mini in Apple’s lineup. So which one should you buy? First, let’s compare the specs of each model and see which one comes out on top.

iPhone 14

The iPhone 14 is the smallest and most affordable model in Apple’s new phone lineup. It has a 6.1-inch display and two camera lenses. Plus, it comes in five different colors: Midnight, Purple, Starlight, (PRODUCT)RED & Blue.

Quick Review

iPhone 14’s Chip Performance

It is disappointing that this phone features last year’s A15 bionic chip from apple, a brand that claims to be focused on innovation.

iPhone 14’s Display

The new iPhone’s display is unchanged from last year’s model: it has the same resolution and brightness.

iPhone 14’s Camera

The new iPhone 14’s camera system is more efficient than last year but uses the same hardware. The front-facing camera is the only exception; it has a lower aperture and now autofocuses.

iPhone 14’s Battery Life

Although Apple boasts that its newer models have increased battery life, there is not much of a difference from the older versions.

iPhone 14 Plus

If you’re looking for a slightly bigger and better iPhone, the 14 Plus is the phone for you. This model revives the plus name last seen in 2017 with the 8 Plus. The iPhone 14 Plus is the newest edition to the iPhone family. With a 6.7-inch display and dual cameras, it replaces last year’s model, the iPhone 13 mini. You can find this phone in five colors: Midnight, Purple, Starlight, (PRODUCT)RED & Blue.

Quick Review

iPhone 14 Plus’s Chip Performance

The A15 Bionic chip that powers this phone is the same one in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 series from last year.

iPhone 14 Plus’s Display

The iPhone 14 Plus has the same benefits as the regular iPhone 14, but in a bigger package. The 6.7′ inch body allows for a bigger display that gets decently bright; however, it is not on par with any current flagship smartphone screens.

iPhone 14 Plus’s Camera

Although the iPhone 14 Plus camera system is more advanced than last year’s model, hardware-wise it remains unchanged. The only update is to the front camera which now has a lower aperture and autofocus capabilities.

iPhone 14 Plus’s Battery Life

The battery life of the iPhone 14 Plus is said to be on par with that of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, making it a tough competitor for the 14 Pro Max.

iPhone 14 Pro

The new iPhone 14 Pro is the top-of-the-line model in the new lineup. It has a 6.1″ OLED display with a cutout for front cameras & FaceID sensors, four cameras (including a 3x telephoto lens and lidar sensor), and available colors: Space Black, Silver, Gold, and Deep Purple. Apple’s decision to remove the notch from its Pro series of iPhones is a sign that the company is willing to take risks in order to innovate. The new selfie camera cutout is one of the best software solutions to a hardware problem that Apple was facing.

Quick Review

iPhone 14 Pro’s Chip Performance

The A16 Bionic chip is the newest Apple Silicon, and it has been said to have a performance increase from the A15 present in the iPhone 14 & 14 Plus. However, from real-world bench testing and comparisons, there doesn’t appear to be much of a difference at all.

iPhone 14 Pro’s Display

This year’s iPhone 14 Pro has a brand new screen design with a cut-out rather than the notch on the regular iPhone 14 & 14 Plus. Apple is calling it Dynamic Island. The screen has an industry-leading 120Hz refresh rate and gets up to 2000 nits of brightness, making it the brightest iPhone display ever. The always-on display feature also makes its way to the iPhone this year.

iPhone 14 Pro’s Camera

The camera system on the new iPhone 14 Pro has just received a large upgrade, with the main sensor now being 48 MP instead of 12 MP. This will give it a good advantage over other models when paired with the new photonic engine.

iPhone 14 Pro’s Battery Life

Although the battery life of the iPhone 14 Pro is said to be just as good as the iPhone 13 Pro, with its always-on display & higher peak brightness, this seems doubtful.

iPhone 14 Pro Max

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the most recent model and will be the largest phone in the new lineup. It boasts a 6.7-inch OLED display with a dynamic island, four cameras (3x telephoto lens and LiDAR sensor included), as well as coming in Space Black, Silver, Gold, or Deep Purple–colors already established for the pro model. Apple’s decision to remove the notch from its Pro series of iPhones is a sign that the company understands that taking risks is sometimes necessary in order to innovate. The new selfie camera cutout is one of Apple’s best software solutions to date, and it manages to solve a hardware problem that the company was facing.

Quick Review

iPhone 14 Pro Max’s Chip Performance

The iPhone 14 Pro Max comes with the same A16 Bionic chip as its smaller counterpart, but is said to have slightly better performance. However, many users claim they can’t tell the difference.

iPhone 14 Pro Max’s Display

The iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 6.7″ inch screen with a new cut-out design rather than the notch on the base iPhone models. Apple is marketing it as “Dynamic Island.” The display has a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches 2,000 nits of brightness, which is greater than any other iPhone model. This year’s iPhones include an always-on screen for the first time.

iPhone 14 Pro Max’s Camera

The new iPhone 14 Pro Max just got a camera system upgrade, and it’s a big one. The main sensor is now 48 MP—that’s 4 times bigger than the 12 MP sensors on other models. And it comes with a new photonic engine.

iPhone 14 Pro Max’s Battery Life

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is said to have a battery life similar to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, but this claim seems dubious, given that the new phone has an always-on display and can output more brightness.

Verdict

The new OLED displays on the iPhone 14 series are brighter and have a better refresh rate than older models, the camera systems have seen significant upgrades, and the overall design is more sleek and modern. If you’re looking to upgrade from an old iPhone, this series is definitely worth considering. The new iPhone 13 series are great phones, but if you’re looking to upgrade from them, the 14 & 14 Plus models aren’t worth the money since they offer no new features besides a different color. However, the 14 Pro & Pro Max models do offer unique features like a brand-new display–upgrading to these might be worth your while. If you are migrating from android or upgrading from an older iPhone, the iPhone 14 series is a good choice. The phones are fast, reliable & secure to function perfectly in day-to-day life. So now, if you have made up your mind to upgrade to the newest iPhone 14, sell us your old phone and make some money from it. We guarantee the best price in town!
