This assumes, of course, that your case doesn’t exceed 45 mm and that it’s not metal. If it’s thicker than 45 mm and/or made of metal, all bets are off.

But What About Old iPhone 7 Cases?

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 are roughly the same size. That said, they are not an exact match when you compare dimensions. The iPhone 8 is just a little bit thicker, so using an iPhone 7 case might hug your new device a little tighter. Also, the Apple logo has moved, meaning your case may partially obscure the logo — if that matters to you.
